A few days back I was with mom at Ikea, and I spotted a these pots of Hyacinthus that they were selling. They're really rather adorable, and there were red ones and purple ones. We bought one of each. Mom placed the red one in the living room, while I took the purple one in my room.

When it bloomed, my the smell was strong. Of course, i only notice it everytime I come into the room cos after that it fades to the back of your head like any other ambient smell.

I didn't take any pics of either of them when they bloomed. I'm not sure why. It was a pretty sight, though.

I hope they'll bloom again, but that'd probably be after I've left for australia.

I miss Hyacinth. She was my friend's character...
